Softball Recap: Stow-Munroe Falls Comes Up Short

Stow-Munroe Falls kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Grant Community. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Lexi Watson was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Aaliyah Thammachack, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Grant Community's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Looking ahead, Stow-Munroe Falls and Oak Park-River Forest will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Grant Community, they will face off against Westerville North at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
