Northern Virginia HomeSchool waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Culpeper Homeschool Athletics Storm 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Centurions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Northern Virginia HomeSchool not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Culpeper Homeschool Athletics between 16 and 19 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-19, 25-16.

Mackinley Jones paced Northern Virginia HomeSchool's offense, picking up nine kills. Jones got some help from Katie Thomas and her 20 assists. Thomas was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Northern Virginia HomeSchool's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Culpeper Homeschool Athletics, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, Northern Virginia HomeSchool will challenge Front Royal HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Culpeper Homeschool Athletics, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Southwest Virginia Academy at 10:00 a.m. on October 4.
