Baseball Game Preview: Kettle Run Cougars vs. James Wood Colonels

The Kettle Run Cougars will take on the James Wood Colonels at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Kettle Run sitting on three straight wins and James Wood on eight.

Kettle Run is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Handley a 19-0 shutout on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, James Wood beat Warren County 9-5 on Friday.

James Wood's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Kettle Run, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.
