Volleyball Recap: Ladue Horton Watkins Takes a Loss

Ladue Horton Watkins lost against Seckman back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rams took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Ladue Horton Watkins started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-23, 25-19, 25-14.

Seckman found their leader in sophomore Meghan Holt, who had three digs and three aces. Holt is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Ladue Horton Watkins' defeat dropped their record down to 6-14-1. As for Seckman, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Ladue Horton Watkins will head out to take on MICDS at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Seckman, they will venture away from home to square off against Festus at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
