Ryland Besco gave up the fewest hits he has since back in April of 2024 on Monday. He struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

Besco's strong effort led Geneva over Edgewood and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are a perfect 5-0 against the Warriors going back to April of 2021, a lead they'll look to extend.
