West Johnston had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Clayton Comets. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

West Johnston was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 27-25, 19-25, 25-13, 25-16.

Coming up, Clayton is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Corinth Holders at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. West Johnston will be paying especially close attention to the Comets' match: after the Comets face off against the Pirates, they'll take on West Johnston again at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
