Volleyball Recap: Midway Takes a Loss

Midway lost against Appleton City back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Vikings lost 3-0 to the Bulldogs. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Midway was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Appleton City work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 26-24, 25-23.

Ella Jamison paced Midway's offense, picking up six kills. Jamison got some help from Ella Lyon and her 16 assists. Lyon and Jamison didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with three apiece.

Midway's loss dropped their record down to 8-7-2. As for Appleton City, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.

Coming up, Midway will challenge Lutheran at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday. As for Appleton City, they will take on Lakeland at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
