It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Columbia can now relate to. They fell just short of Newton by a score of 1-0 on Friday. Columbia's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Columbia's defeat dropped their record down to 24-6. As for Newton, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-2.

Columbia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Newton, they will challenge Carterville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 1.8, the Lions 1.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
