Volleyball Recap: Metro-East Lutheran Comes Up Short

Metro-East Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Belleville West Maroons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Maroons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 two weeks ago.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-11.

Metro-East Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Belleville West, their win bumped their record up to 11-15.

Looking ahead, Metro-East Lutheran will face off against Granite City at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Belleville West, they will challenge Althoff Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
