Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Johnson Central

Johnson Central waltzed into their matchup on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They strolled past the Powell County Pirates with points to spare, taking the game 89-73.

Johnson Central was led to victory by Austin Slone and Brayden Shepherd. Slone almost dropped a double-double on 30 points and nine assists, while Shepherd went 11 of 21 en route to 28 points and three steals. Slone is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last nine games he's played. Kyle Rose was another key player, putting up eight points and six rebounds.

Johnson Central's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 88.7 points per game. As for Powell County, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.
