Owosso and Brandon are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2020, but not for long. The Trojans will head out to face off against the Blackhawks at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Owosso is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

Owosso came up short against Goodrich on Wednesday, falling 3-0.

While Owosso was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-13, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Brandon beat Lakeville 3-1 last Thursday.

Brandon walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 13-25, 25-14, 25-17.

Owosso better keep an eye on Brooke Roberts. She was instrumental in Brandon's win, getting six digs and six aces. Those six aces gave Roberts a new career-high.

Brandon was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Brandon's win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 10-8. As for Owosso, their loss dropped their record down to 5-15-2.

Owosso skirted past Brandon 3-2 in their previous meeting on September 4th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
