Softball Game Preview: Oley Valley Lynx vs. Conrad Weiser Scouts

The Oley Valley Lynx will challenge the Conrad Weiser Scouts at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Oley Valley's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to Hamburg, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Conrad Weiser had taken Schuylkill Valley down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Scouts lost 12-4 to the Panthers.

Skylir Berger was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave her a new career-low. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Madison Derfler made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Oley Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Conrad Weiser, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
