Basketball Game Preview: Lake Ridge Eagles vs. Boswell Pioneers

The Lake Ridge Eagles will take on the Boswell Pioneers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Tuesday, Lake Ridge came up short against Mansfield Legacy and fell 69-62.

Meanwhile, Boswell had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They blew past the Kangaroos 68-39. The Pioneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 contests by 25 points or more this season.

Boswell's win came from a few key players Lake Ridge will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Camille Williams, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Haleigh Jackson, who went 7 of 13 en route to 17 points.

Lake Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Boswell, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 games, which provided a nice bump to their 28-2 record this season.

Lake Ridge took a serious blow against Boswell in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 70-36. Can Lake Ridge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
