Baseball Recap: Scott County Comes Up Short

Scott County suffered their biggest defeat since March 22nd on Tuesday. They came up short against the Frederick Douglass Broncos, falling 8-1. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Cardinals' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Scott County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justin Stevenson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Scott County's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5. As for Frederick Douglass, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Broncos beat Scott County by a score of 8-6 on Wednesday.
