Softball Game Preview: Thornridge Falcons vs. Crete-Monee Warriors

For the second straight game, Thornridge will face off against Crete-Monee. The Falcons will welcome the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Thornridge has struggled recently with 35 defeats in a row, while Crete-Monee will arrive with three straight victories.

Thornridge lost 23-6 to Crete-Monee on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by exactly 17 runs.

For Crete-Monee's part, the team relied heavily on Taleeana Ramirez, who fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and four runs while going 3-for-3. Those seven RBI gave Ramirez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Raechel Lindsay, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Crete-Monee lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Thornridge's loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Crete-Monee, their win bumped their record up to 10-14.
