Football Recap: Berlin Has No Trouble Against Bloomfield

Berlin won the last time they faced Bloomfield and things went their way on Friday too. The Redcoats took down the Warhawks 38-20. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Redcoats.

Berlin had a senior duo take command as Cody Puzio rushed for 52 yards and a pair of scores and Eli Rice picked up 83 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Rice showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 61 yards.

Despite the loss, Bloomfield still got an impressive performance from Cameron White, who threw for 114 yards and a pair of TDs on only ten passes, and also rushed for 31 yards.

Berlin has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record. As for Bloomfield, their record now sits at 0-2.

Berlin and Bloomfield should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Connecticut Rankings. The Redcoats will face off against Bristol Eastern at 6:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (23 vs. 98). Meanwhile, Bloomfield (ranked 29th) will meet Rocky Hill (ranked 125th) at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
