Volleyball Recap: Proviso East Takes a Loss

Proviso East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Proviso West Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on April 12th.

Proviso East was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-23.

Proviso East's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Proviso West, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-13.

Proviso East has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Islamic Foundation on the 1st. As for Proviso West, they will square off against York at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
