Basketball Recap: Convent of the Sacred Heart Takes a Loss

Convent of the Sacred Heart lost against Urban back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Convent of the Sacred Heart Cubs were beaten by the Urban Blues 61-31. While losing is never fun, the Cubs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 839th, while the Blues are ranked 371st).

Convent of the Sacred Heart dropped their record down to 3-5 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Urban, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Convent of the Sacred Heart will square off against San Domenico at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Urban, they will face off against Lick-Wilmerding at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Lick-Wilmerding is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.1 points per game this season.
