Basketball Recap: Abilene Christian Beats Christian Life Preparatory for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Abilene Christian had won three straight games and Bryinn Waggoner did his part to make it four on Friday. The Abilene Christian Panthers breezed by the Christian Life Preparatory Knights to the tune of 80-40 thanks in part to Waggoner, who dropped a triple-double on 18 points, ten assists, and 11 steals. Abilene Christian is undefeated when Waggoner posts three or more steals, but 4-7 otherwise.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kamdan Allen, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. What's more, he also racked up five steals, the most he's had since back in November of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Christian Life Preparatory lost, don't look at David Wardlaw. Despite the final result, he went 8 for 11 to rack up 16 points and eight boards. Brody McRay was another key player, putting up ten points.

Abilene Christian's win bumped their record up to 24-7. As for Christian Life Preparatory, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Fellowship Academy the next time they take the court. Christian Life Preparatory will host Fellowship Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Abilene Christian will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
