Football Recap: Tatnall Hornets vs. Brandywine Bulldogs
Tatnall extended their postseason success on Friday against Brandywine. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Brandywine Bulldogs 27-24. The Hornets' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
A big part of Tatnall's victory came down to the chemistry between Quinn De Viere and his top target Jude Maycole. De Viere threw for 386 yards and three touchdowns while Maycole picked up 174 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Maycole was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 64 yards. A healthy portion of De Viere's aerial production (134 yards to be exact) also went to Chris Gordon.
Tatnall didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Billy Lang, Jack Homer, and Wilson Lee picked up one apiece. Homer has been hot , having also posted seven or more total tackles the last five times he's played.
Tatnall's record now sits at 12-0. As for Brandywine, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
Tatnall will square off against Indian River on Saturday. Tatnall is looking to tack on another W to their ten-game streak on the road dating back to last season. Brandywine does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
