Softball Recap: Hamilton Find Success

Hamilton let Sparta stack six runs on them in the seventh inning on Thursday but luckily Hamilton prevailed anyway. The Hawkeyes walked away with a 12-8 win over the Spartans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-7 on Thursday.

The victory made it two in a row for Hamilton and bumps their season record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Sparta, their loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hamilton will challenge South Christian at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Sparta, they will square off against Allendale at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
