Soccer Game Preview: Southwest Onslow vs. East Duplin

The Southwest Onslow Stallions will head out on the road to challenge the East Duplin Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Southwest Onslow is headed into Tuesday's match following a draw, the team's first since the 2nd. They and White Oak finished up their game with a 2-2 draw on Thursday.

Meanwhile, East Duplin waltzed into their contest last Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They never let the Hawks get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. Give East Duplin's defense some credit: that's the team's fifth straight shutout.

East Duplin's victory bumped their record up to 10-7-2. With that draw, Southwest Onslow's record moves to 12-3-3.

Everything went Southwest Onslow's way against East Duplin when the teams last played back in March, as Southwest Onslow made off with a 4-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Stallions since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
