Basketball Recap: Marion P. Thomas Takes a Loss

Marion P. Thomas was the 62-54 winner over Global Studies when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. Marion P. Thomas took a 51-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Global Studies on Tuesday. Marion P. Thomas has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Marion P. Thomas lost, don't look at Vincent Loomis. Despite the final result, he posted 16 points in addition to seven boards and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Dayvon Hinson, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds.

Marion P. Thomas' loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 7-9. As for Global Studies, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.

Marion P. Thomas wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 84-62 defeat against Governor Livingston on the 30th. Global Studies has also already played their next contest (against Newark Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
