Basketball Recap: Kiowa Skates Past the Colorado Springs School with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kiowa). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat The Colorado Springs School Kodiaks 51-13. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 24-4.

Sage Massey went supernova for Kiowa, going 10 of 18 on her way to 20 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Massey a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Rylee Wyer, who posted five points along with eight boards and six steals.

Kiowa was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive contests.

Kiowa's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for The Colorado Springs School, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Kiowa will challenge Calhan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kiowa has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. The Colorado Springs School has already played their next game (against Dolores Huerta Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
