Basketball Game Preview: Harrah Panthers vs. Ada Cougars

Harrah and Ada are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Harrah Panthers duke it out with the Ada Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harrah is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Harrah had to suffer through a 85-49 loss at the hands of Jones. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 381st, while the Longhorns are ranked 86th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Ada, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against Hugo by a score of 48-40 on Saturday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Cougars as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Ada's win came from a few key players Harrah will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tarvaris James, who posted seven points along with 12 boards and three blocks. Charles Vest was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Ada's record is now 11-8. As for Harrah, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-18.

Harrah was dealt a bruising 78-30 loss at the hands of Ada in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Harrah avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
