Baseball Recap: Wasco Tigers vs. Arvin Bears
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Wasco had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Arvin Bears, sneaking past 2-1. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 13-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Damian Santos spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up 13 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
