Soccer Recap: Joplin Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Joplin's offense. They came up short against the Lee's Summit North Broncos on Saturday, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Joplin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri soccer rankings (they are ranked 101st, while Lee's Summit North are ranked 30th).

Joplin has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. As for Lee's Summit North, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Joplin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lee's Summit North, they will be playing at home against Lee's Summit West at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lee's Summit West's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
