Poolville lost to Collinsville back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Monarchs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pirates, sneaking past 3-2.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (106-105) Poolville actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 19-25, 25-22, 25-22, 15-12.

Poolville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Collinsville, with the loss, they broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-9.

Poolville and Collinsville will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Monarchs will square off against rival Lipan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Collinsville is set to face off against their familiar foe Tom Bean at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
