Baseball Recap: Salpointe Catholic Takes a Loss

Salpointe Catholic's tournament run continued when they took on North Cobb Christian on Thursday. The Lancers fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 5-4.

Paul Saffer and Dane White did some serious damage despite the final result: Saffer went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, while White went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. White is on a roll when it comes to triples, as he's now hit at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Johnny Abramian, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Salpointe Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 18-3-1. As for North Cobb Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8-1 record this season.

Salpointe Catholic will venture away from home to face off against Mica Mountain at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Cobb Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
