Basketball Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Chincoteague

The Chincoteague Ponies were the clear victor by a 52-28 margin over the Holly Grove Christian Eagles. The win was all the more spectacular given the Ponies' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 389th in Virginia, while the Eagles are ranked 62nd in Maryland).

Byron Hurst was the offensive standout of the match as he posted ten points and seven assists. Another player making a difference was Camaury Davis, who earned ten points.

Chincoteague's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Holly Grove Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
