Preview: Bennett Clippers vs. Decatur Seahawks
After two games on the road, Bennett is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Decatur Seahawks at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
Last Thursday, Bennett took a serious blow against Parkside, falling 67-19. Bennett has not had much luck with Parkside recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Meanwhile, Decatur had to endure a four-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They took their match at home on Thursday with ease, bagging a 49-8 win over Crisfield. The victory was just what Decatur needed coming off of a 48-21 defeat in their prior game.
Bennett's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-1. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.8 points per game. As for Decatur, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Bennett was taken down by Decatur 46-18 when the teams last played back in January. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Bennett was down 34-4.
