Basketball Recap: Telstar Takes a Loss

Telstar lost against Buckfield back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Telstar Rebels were beaten by the Buckfield Bucks 45-18. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Bucks are ranked 18th).

Telstar's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Buckfield, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Telstar will square off against Richmond at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Buckfield, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against North Haven at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
