Cypress Bay and West Broward are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. Cypress Bay will head out to face off against West Broward at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cypress Bay will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
Cypress Bay saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They came out on top against Coral Reef by a score of 10-5.

Logan Jorcin looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Cypress Bay got a massive performance out of Santiago Sanchez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Diego Baron, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Cypress Bay kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, West Broward was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They fell just short of Hewitt-Trussville by a score of 3-2.
Noel Perez was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, West Broward saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reggie Rodr?guez, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Ethan Lindor also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Cypress Bay pushed their record up to 13-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.6 runs over those games. As for West Broward, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-8.
Cypress Bay suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to West Broward when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Cypress Bay avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
