Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Auburn walked away with it. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Olympia Spartans a 4-0 shutout on Wednesday. Give the Trojans' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Auburn is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Olympia, they moved to 18-11-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Auburn wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 10-3 win against Williamsville on the 30th. Olympia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
