Softball Recap: New Bremen Takes a Loss

New Bremen started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Shawnee. They came up short against the Indians on Thursday, falling 9-2. The Cardinals' loss continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

Olivia Thornton was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

New Bremen's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Shawnee, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-6.

Coming up, New Bremen will welcome Tri-Village at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their 19th straight win, something the Cardinals surely won't give up without a fight. As for Shawnee, they are taking a road trip to take on Memorial at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
