Moody waltzed into their game  on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by  a  9-1 margin over the West End Patriots. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won 11 contests by eight  runs or more  so far this season.
Moody got a great performance from  Chloe Phillips as she  didn't allow a single  earned run over five innings pitched. What's more,  Phillips posted three  strikeouts, the most she's  had since back in March.
 At the plate,  Peyton Harry and  Abi Gray did most of the damage at the plate:  Harry  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and one  double, while  Gray  went 2-for-3 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  two  hits gave  Harry a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Kendall Trimm, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Moody pushed their record up to 19-7 with the  win, which was their fifth straight  on the road. The  road  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for West End, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4.
 Moody wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  matchup,  a  10-3  win against Vestavia Hills on the 2nd. As for West End, they have also already played their next game,  an  8-0  victory against Hokes Bluff on the 4th.
