Recap: Bell Eagles vs. Jordan Bulldogs

The Bell Eagles and the Jordan Bulldogs squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Bell Eagles had to settle for second. They lost to the Bulldogs at home by a decisive 38-21 margin. Bell was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Jordan apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2015.

Bell's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Erick Stubbs, who rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Deven Lopez, who rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown.

David Sandy continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Jordan, rushing for 226 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per carry, and also throwing for 63 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Sandy hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for ten straight games.

Bell's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Jordan, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Bell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Jordan will face off against George Washington Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. George Washington Prep is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
