Alamo Heights had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Veterans Memorial Patriots a 3-0 shutout. The Mules might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by three goals or more this season.

Alamo Heights' victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Veterans Memorial, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.

Coming up, Alamo Heights will head out on the road to square off against Smithson Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Smithson Valley knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Alamo Heights likes a good challenge. As for Veterans Memorial, they will welcome Boerne at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Boerne will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Veterans Memorial surely won't give up without a fight.
