Basketball Recap: Chadwick's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

After flying high against California School for the Deaf-Riverside on Friday, Chadwick came back down to earth. The Dolphins fell 64-60 to the Mary Star of the Sea Stars on Monday. The Dolphins were not able to make up for their defeat to the Stars from their previous meeting back in January.

Mary Star of the Sea had a senior duo take command as Sam Lane dropped a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds and Jordan Saul went 5-for-9 en route to 17 points. Lane has also also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season. Ben Coughlin was another key player, shooting 43% from the field on his way to 15 points and six boards.

With the loss, Chadwick broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-4. As for Mary Star of the Sea, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Chadwick wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 91-63 win against Paramount on the 17th. As for Mary Star of the Sea, they will be taking part in a tournament against El Segundo at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
