Basketball Game Preview: Jenkins Warriors vs. Calvary Day Cavaliers

The Jenkins Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the Calvary Day Cavaliers at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Jenkins sitting on three straight victories and Calvary Day on seven.

Last Tuesday, Jenkins was able to grind out a solid win over Liberty County, taking the game 45-36.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Calvary Day). They claimed a resounding 77-23 victory over Islands. Given the Cavaliers' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Sharks are ranked 423rd), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Calvary Day's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-6. As for Jenkins, their victory bumped their record up to 13-11.

Jenkins might still be hurting after the 64-41 defeat they got from Calvary Day in their previous meeting last Tuesday. Can Jenkins avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
