Volleyball Recap: Tarkington Comes Up Short

Tarkington's tournament run continued when they took on Alamo Heights on Saturday. The Longhorns fell just short of the Mules by a score of 2-1.

Despite the loss, Tarkington saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Paisley Hearn had 19 digs and one assist. With that strong performance, Hearn is now averaging an impressive 10.9 digs per game.

Tarkington's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Alamo Heights, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Tarkington and Alamo Heights will both be playing Fort Bend Christian Academy the next time they take the court. The Longhorns will head out to face the Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Mules will play them later in the day, at 2:15 p.m.
