Softball Recap: Wilmington Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Wilmington and Nipmuc Regional squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Wilmington had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 4-2.

Wilmington has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season. As for Nipmuc Regional, their win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-1.

Wilmington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nipmuc Regional, they will take on Tri-County RVT at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
