Basketball Game Preview: Legacy vs. Dickinson Midgets

Legacy are taking a road trip to face off against the Dickinson Midgets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Legacy is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.

Last Friday, Legacy earned a 72-60 victory over Jamestown. Given Legacy's advantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while Jamestown is ranked 84th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Dickinson didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Minot on Friday, but they still walked away with a 83-78 win. The Midgets haven't had any issues with the Magicians recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Legacy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.3 points over those games. As for Dickinson, their victory bumped their record up to 15-8.

Everything went Legacy's way against Dickinson in their previous matchup back in January, as Legacy made off with a 79-55 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Legacy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
