Basketball Game Preview: Seneca Red Hawks vs. Christian Academy-Louisville Centurions

The Seneca Red Hawks will take on the Christian Academy-Louisville Centurions in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Christian Academy-Louisville took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Seneca, who comes in off a win.

Last Monday, Seneca didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Eastern, but they still walked away with a 34-28 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Hawks.

Seneca relied on the efforts of Arionna Tunstall, who posted 12 points in addition to six boards and six steals, and Justice Parks, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Tunstall has scored at least a third of Seneca's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Janell Julue, who had five points along with ten rebounds and three steals.

Seneca smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Christian Academy-Louisville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 65-31 loss at the hands of Spencer County.

Christian Academy-Louisville now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Seneca, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1.
