Football Recap: Waynesburg Central Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against West Greene last Friday, Waynesburg Central came back down to earth. The Raiders had to suffer through a 57-30 loss at the hands of the Jefferson-Morgan Rockets. The Raiders lost against the Rockets in their previous head to head back in August of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 34-28 score last time.

Despite the loss, Waynesburg Central still got an impressive performance from Teagen Crouse, who rushed for 72 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 232 yards on 12 of 25 attempts. A healthy portion of Crouse's aerial production (83 yards to be exact) went to Jeffrey Blair.

Deakyn Dehoet had an outrageously good game for Jefferson-Morgan as he rushed for 167 yards and three TDs on only nine carries, and also picked up 30 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Waynesburg Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Jefferson-Morgan, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Waynesburg Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 27-20 victory against California on the 5th. As for Jefferson-Morgan, they have also already played their next game, a 26-10 win against Burgettstown on the 5th.
