Basketball Recap: Brevard HEAT Comes Up Short

Brevard HEAT suffered their biggest loss since November 22, 2024 on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 78-40 loss at the hands of the City of Life Christian Academy Warriors. The Firehawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-18.

Brevard HEAT lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Riley Ellis, who posted 15 points. The matchup was Ellis' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Younger, who earned eight points.

Brevard HEAT is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9. As for City of Life Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Brevard HEAT will take on Orlando Science at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Brevard HEAT is facing Orlando Science at the right time seeing as Orlando Science is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for City of Life Christian Academy, they will face off against Celebration at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
