East Longmeadow strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on John J. Duggan Academy with a sharp 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Spartans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant East Longmeadow was: they took every set by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-11, 25-11.

Cole Berthiaume paced East Longmeadow's offense, picking up ten kills. Berthiaume got some help from Christian Bui and his 19 assists. Ben Mannheim controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

East Longmeadow pushed their record up to 10-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for John J. Duggan Academy, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, East Longmeadow will challenge Holyoke at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for John J. Duggan Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Commerce at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
