Baseball Recap: Chapin Eagles vs. Eastside Eagles
Chapin fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Eastside on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of Eastside by a score of 4-3. Chapin was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Eastside earlier this season, when they won 5-4.
Chapin got a good showing from Mac Berry, who struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and only one walk). What's more, Berry gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in March.

The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Eastside, they will face off against James F. Byrnes at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
