Baseball Recap: Pocahontas County Takes a Loss

Pocahontas County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 6-3 to the Greenbrier West Cavaliers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cavaliers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-2 two weeks ago.

Pocahontas County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Keller, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Pocahontas County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Greenbrier West, their record is now 4-2.

Coming up, Pocahontas County will challenge Tygarts Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Greenbrier West, they will take on Nicholas County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cavaliers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Grizzlies have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
