            Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask St. John). They blew past the Scott's Branch Eagles 15-1 on Friday.

 KENNEDY MOORE was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only  one  hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Those  eight  strikeouts gave  her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-4.
 In other batting news,  TRINITIE SUTTON and  MARY USHER did most of the damage at the plate:  SUTTON  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4, while  USHER  scored three  runs while going 2-for-4.  NATALIA AVILA was another key player,  scoring three  runs while going 4-for-5.
 St. John's  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .643. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
St. John's first  victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Scott's Branch,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 0-2.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. John's will host Stall  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Scott's Branch, they will challenge Palmetto Scholars Academy at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. This will  be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
